We’re a women-owned, Indigenous-led embroidery brand based in Peterborough, Ontario—brought to life by me, Shannon, a mom of two little wild ones and a lifelong maker at heart.

Petals & Thread started back in September 2023 as my way of finding calm in the middle of postpartum anxiety. What began with simple stitches quickly turned into so much more—a place to pour love, tell stories, and create keepsakes that mean something.

Around here, embroidery isn’t just about looking cute (though it definitely does that). It’s about self-expression, comfort, and celebrating the moments and people that matter most. Our pieces—like the Keepsake Crew and custom embroidered sweaters—are made-to-order, stitched with intention, and designed to feel just as special as the stories behind them.
