ABOUT PETALS & THREAD

Petals & Thread started in a very simple, very real way—at home, in the middle of everyday life.

Like a lot of small businesses, it didn’t begin with a big plan. It started with creativity, late nights, and the need to make something meaningful with my hands while balancing everything else life throws in.

Over time, embroidery became more than just a creative outlet. It became a way to slow down, to create with intention, and to turn simple pieces of clothing into something that carries memory and meaning.

There’s something special about seeing a name stitched into fabric, or a word that holds a memory you don’t want to forget. Those small details are what this business is built around.

Petals & Thread is still very much a small, hands-on studio. Every piece is made one at a time, carefully and intentionally, never rushed or mass produced. That slower process is something I’ve come to value deeply.

I’m also a mother, and that experience has shaped so much of how I create. It’s taught me to appreciate the small things—the handwriting on a card, the names we call out a hundred times a day, the moments that feel ordinary but end up meaning the most later on.

That’s what I try to capture in every piece.

All embroidery is done in Canada, and every order is made to feel personal—because it is.
